2009 Toyota Tacoma–Best Choice for Compact Pickup

The 2009 Toyota Tacoma hits back with a refreshing exterior design and some minor changes and modifications under the hood. Additional color choices include Magnetic Grey,Pyrite,Timberland and Barcelona Red. The painted grilles gracing the frontfascia and LED tail lamps are new for the 2009 model.

Like the previous year models Toyota Tacoma is available in three cab styles:Regular Cab,Double Cab and Access Cab.Different bed lengths and cab styles lead to 18 different configurations-enough to meet the requirements of the buyers.

Vehicle Stability Control (VSC),Traction control (TRAC) and anti-lock brakes (ABS) and Brake Assist are set standard for all the 2009 Toyota Tacoma models.The new Toyota Tacoma also gets active front headrest,roll-sensing curtains and side airbags added to the existing standard safety features-tire pressure monitoring system and seat belts with emergency locking retractor.

The compact pick up trucks from Toyota is now more reliable with enhanced off-road capabilities.Toyota's innovative Downhill Assist Control integrates active wheel speed sensors attached to each wheel with the Tacoma's navigation system.These sensors are able to measure the vehicle's rotating wheel direction and speed even if it is extremely low.With this measurement the driver can rectify the deviation from the vehicle's actual path.

New door trim panels and upgraded music system lend a touch of elegance and luxury to Toyota Tacoma interior.The new sound system embeds satellite radio.Thanks to additional USB port passengers can use their portable audio devices as well as laptops while riding on a Tacoma.

Auto news reveals that there will be increase in the number of speakers in all Tacoma variations except the Regular Cabs.All Access Cab models boast power windows and extended storage capability with additional storage consoles beneath the rear seat. Full carpel flooring,nicely trimmed fabric upholstery LED-illuminated gauges and tilt and telescopic steering wheel ensure comfy ride and ease of driving.

Appropriate combination of drivetrains helps in optimizing the performance of the new Tacoma.The base 2.7L inline four-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission churns out 159 horse power.Tacoma's 4.0L 236Hp V6,standard on Double Cabs and optional on Access Cabs gives sports car like performance when combined to 2WD package.

The 2009 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner is equipped with exclusive six-speed manual transmission and 18-inch aluminum wheels.The Tacoma X-Runner also sports smoked headlights and comes with optional TRD Sports and TRD off-road packages.If you are ready to spend extra money opt for Tacoma X-Runner for its high performance and luxury packages.
