What is the best reflector or refractor?

There are also short stubby telescope better, worse or just as long im in the market a telescope I can see the moon, planets and other things but that's not super expensive

★ I suggest that you join an astronomy club local astronomical society before spending your money on a real telescope. There are many different types of scopes and what is perfect for one person is not perfect for another. Everyone has its own set of eyeballs and no two are alike. If you join a club, you can attend some of the parts of the star and test areas of the members to see what works best for you, before buying a scope. Members can also help when it arrives at your fingertips and show you how to get the most out of your new area and to help teach what treasures are in heaven. Most clubs have provided areas and extensive libraries that can be obtained more information too. Most clubs have monthly membership meetings briefings given by members and guest speakers. Really You can learn much from these clubs and is an added plus to all the great new friends who are there. Go to this site to find a club in your area. http://www.astroleague.org/societies/list This is only clubs that belong to the Astronomical League, so there are many more not listed here. Continue to search Google if you are not a in your area here. ★ There are Different Types Of Telescopes and they all have some excellent features. Refractors and reflectors, plus Schmidt-Cassegrain APO refractors, Mac Cass, and many more. There are also several mounts to choose from the mountains and are just as important, if not more important, the scope is. All the different and media fields have some characteristics that some people like and dislike. ★ No two eyes are the same and the ideal for one person may be completely wrong for someone else. ★ There is no area that is "better" than another, except for all the areas of garbage out there that are just a waste of money. Never, ever buy from Wal-Mart, Costco, Target or any discount store like that. Garbage areas are flooded in the market stores. That will buy nothing but bad optics and plastic. You should buy from a reputable manufacturer or telescope telescope telescope dealer or shop. If you do not specialize in telescopes, look elsewhere. ★ This is a new article in Sky and Telescope that will tell you about some types of telescopes and how to choose your first telescope. http://www.skyandtelescope.com/equipment/basics/12511616.html ★ If you are new to this, then stay away from anything used from anywhere. If you do not know what you are buying and that you are buying the most likely get another headache --- with no warranty either. Some good deals on used equipment are out there by people who know how use and care of scopes, but if you do not know what you're doing, you can spend a lot of money on worthless junk. Improper cleaning can destroy a scope. Buyer beware. ★ recommend: Orion http://oriontelescopes.com/ is best for value and customer service as well. I have three of its scope and I will only buy them now. My first field manual control is reached and I am very happy that it was because it forced me to learn where things are in the night sky. Go-To walks of life can be frustrating. If you have not lined up exactly perfect, they are not targets. If you are a beginner, you will feel frustrated if the spring for a GPS Go-To. A locator object is just that --- will locate objects for you (must be aligned first), but a locator object is not a tracking engine. You will not have the scope of the target. The Orion has some excellent diagrams and explanations of all walks of life and media. ★ Things to consider are the size - The user can lift and carry the range of vision site easily? Does it fit in your car? If not, then will gather dust in a closet. I recommend a cover transport is also protected in storage and transport. Can the viewer reach all the knobs and buttons? I have a long tube refractor and operating large and very difficult for me to get to the buttons when I pointed to Zenith. I'm not a tall person. ★ Some people try to suggest that you get Binnoculars instead of a telescope. That's not a bad idea, but at minimum you need 10x50 size and have a tripod for observation. Even the pulse will will shake. My personal preference is a telescope because Binnoculars must be properly aligned at the factory. If not, you see double or triple vision of all making them useless for astronomy. They can easily be beaten out of the lineup as well, so be careful. ★ Take your time to make your decision. ★ Do not try to learn everything at once or you will be overwhelmed and discouraged. Patience is the key to astronomy. ★ You will need a star good letter, too. http://www.stellarium.org/ This is a great free program that can download. They say where you are and tell you what you see. I wish him well.
