When collimating a telescope, what's the point in the center?

I was watching a Youtube video on how to collimate a telescope One of these tools laser collimator. In the video, showing a black point which needs to align the Secondary Mirror for the laser beam at the midpoint. But nobody said that at the point of origin. I have an 8 "F / 6 primary mirror I bought from B & H. When I go in my Newtonian telescope collimation of new construction, do I have to make my own black spot on my primary mirror? Or is this just appear as part of the laser tool be used? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd3mjOr8rc0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd3mjOr8rc0

Some manufacturers provide a point of mirrors black or a white ring that marks the center of the mirror, but it is quite easy to make your own. Put the side mirror on a sheet of paper. Trace the edge of the mirror. Cut the contour of the mirror. Fold the paper circle double in half or quarters. Cut the tip and flatten the paper. Gently place on top of the face of the mirror and make a point through the center hole with a pen. Add a booster loose-leaf to make the most visible. The central couple of inches of the mirror always in the shadow of the secondary mirror, so that none of this affects the image.
