What if a new color is suddenly discovered.?

Astronomers are looking through a new telescope one day, and wham, far away, billions of light years away, to do something formed by a color never seen before. wouldnt that be weird!? What would you do? What look like? I know this is not possible, and we can only see visible light spectrum and the rainbow is composed of all possible colors, black and not considered a color. BUT just pretend it happened. what would i dare you try to explain it to me?

You are right that a new color is not possible. That would mean would have a frequency which did not exist in nature, and it is not possible because light can have almost any frequency. Moreover, even if he had discovered a new color, by definition, would not be able to see it. Our eyes can see only a narrow part of the EM spectrum, and we have had everything in that range. A new color would to be outside that range so that is something new, but it means to be outside that range can not see it.
